Osh state medical university was established by the name of Osh pedagogical state institute on 24 May 1951. After some time, on June 17, 1992, got the status of a university. Osh university is situated in the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan.

University used to make the students professional in the field of general practice and pediatrics. Eligibility criteria of students for taking admission inuniversity:

1.   Candidates should have age 17 years or more than 17 years but should be below 25 years.

2.   The students must clear the NEET examination.

3.   Candidates should have physics, chemistry, biology, English as their compulsory subjects in 12th standard.

4.   Students have to clear the 10th and 12th examinations from any board.

5.   Students should have 50% or more than 50% in physics, chemistry, biology in the 12th standard if they come under the general category.

6.   Students should have 40% or more than 40% in physics, chemistry, biology in the 12th standard if they come under a reserved category like SC/ ST/ OBC.

7.   No entrance exam is taken for admission in Osh state medical university.
