Lviv National Medical University is from the top universities of Ukraine which is having 4th accreditation. Lviv medical university's name was changed to Lviv medical institute in the year of 1939. Lviv National Medical University got the state title in the year of 1996.

 The faculties provided to the students at Lviv National Medical University are graduation interns, graduates, post-graduation, clinical interns, assistant professors, associate professors, candidates in medical sciences.

The courses which are provided to the students are of 6 years which includes a 1-year internship. For the first five years, students are taught theoretical subjects and practical subjects. Students are also sent to public hospitals so that they learn how to deal with the patients.
